TRAILER LIGHTING – WIRING IS SUCH A MYSTERY TO MANY BOATERS.
It doesn’t have to be, here is a wiring diagram.
It helps to remember that green is the right (starboard) side. That’s where the grass is.
Yellow is the left (port) side that’s where the yellow line on the road is.
They are both for stop and turn.
Brown is the running lights and markers.
White is ground. Many wire harnesses have a short white wire and use the trailer as the ground.
Some harnesses have a white ground wire to the lights themselves, these have proven to be much less
